Handcrafted Custom Color-All of our custom colors are made to order with our proprietary methods. Made for durability!
We try to upload photos that best represent the color of each product. Monitors and computer settings may vary on your end as to what is displayed.
We work very hard to bring you lots of innovative and fun options that you can be confident in to hold up and last for all your leather working projects.
Our custom colors were first developed for our own use for braided dog collars and leashes and had to be durable enough to hold up for that use, wear and tear. Then we started offering them to the public after they held up to our scrutiny and were time tested. They are a favorite with dog show lead artists and their customers. They bring a whole new color palette for lead artists and leatherworkers to create with, opening up so many more new possibilities for your projects.
*If there is excess product along any edge in some spots, it can be scraped off with your fingernail without harming the finished surface (or will come off with beveling if you are beveling your leather)
Colors may slightly vary from order to order if they are not made at the same time as the manufacturers products can vary from lot to lot.
Kangaroo lace is the strongest and most preferred lacing for fine leather braiding projects and dog show leads. Kangaroo leather lace retains it strength from its fine grained horizontal fiber structure but yet is still soft and supple and a joy to work with. The best lace for buckstitching and dog show leads. Kangaroo leather is weight for weight the strongest leather cording available. Naturally thin and soft, kangaroo leather retains all it strength where other raw material types require heavy splitting and shaving which significantly reduces physical performance.
The leather is harvested from the Australian government population control program and the kangaroos are ethically and sustainably harvested under strict requirements. The animal is utilized rather than going into a landfill.
Leather is stored properly in a climate controlled smoke free environment, away from light and dust, measured and cut from the spool to order. The highest grade and quality available worldwide.
All our Leather is freshly and regularly imported from Australia. We are licensed by Fish and Wildlife to import and follow all proper permits and requirements.
*NOTE-There are no returns on custom made orders, beveled laces, split laces or special order odd lengths, once laces are altered to be customized to your specifications they are no longer returnable but please let us know if there is a problem so we can address it accordingly.

Kangaroo lace is a natural product from a small hide, in order to form spools and longer lengths there is an occasional spliced seam. The seams are glued strong and with attention to detail and hardly noticeable. We only guarantee no seams on the 'by the meter' option. If we cut the seams out of all our longer orders it would take several attempts to find a piece that length with no seams and it would result in an incredible amount of waste of the animal and wasted environmental impact from shipping from clear across the globe just for it to end up in the garbage. Most customers are aware of this and plan their project accordingly. We try to utilize and not waste this this valuable natural resource and believe in conserving it so that it will be available for us all in the future to come with no shortages. If there is a seam at the beginning of the of your measurement we cut it out and start over, if it is at the middle or end we do not.
